Application of 2-aminophenol

2-aminophenol is also known as ortho amino phenol, O-aminophenol, OAP, etc. 2-aminophenol is an organic compound, the chemical formula is C₆H₄(OH)NH₂, the common name is o-aminophenol, it is a kind of white or light gray crystalline powder. It is one of the isomers of aminophenol and the other two isomers are 3-aminophenol and 4-aminophenol.

Application:

1. Dye intermediates, used to manufacture sulfur dyes, azo dyes, fur dyes and fluorescent brightener EB, etc.

2. Mainly used in the manufacture of acid intermediate blue R, sulfur yellow brown, etc., and can also be mixed into fur dyes. Used in the cosmetics industry as a hair dye (as a compound dye).

3. Determination of silver and tin and verification of gold. Intermediate of diazo dyes and sulfur dyes.

4. Used in the manufacture of dyes, medicines, plastic curing agents.
